More wedding fun

I ordered our Ketubah last night!! This is the Jewish marriage contract. We will sign this in a private ceremony just moments before the public ceremony. It will be framed and displayed in our home. I just love the vines, birds and beautiful poetry! Click on the pic for more detail --- it's just breathtaking!

Here's the description from the website, Ketubah.com:
"The new Song of Love has two intertwining vines representing the love and commitment of the couple. Blooming flowers and singing birds airily surround the wedding vows. Gracefully calligraphed biblical verses, in muted colors and shining gold, dance around and through the watercolor illumination. Fine gold foil accents create an elegant finish to the ketubah."

I also booked our HONEYMOON!!!! One week in sunny Puerto Vallarta!!! The flights and our suite at the Mayan Palace Resort are booked!

I stayed at the Mayan Palace in Acapulco a few years ago and it was beautiful! I've heard the one in P.V. is even better!

That is lovely! I'll bet it's even prettier in person.

Oh, I lost one pound. 29 more to go, yikes!

Julie, this is really getting close. I love the Ketubah. I am not very familar with all things Jewish, but this is awesome.

We all want to go on your honeymoon. Not in the same room of course, but just go to the same place. It looks like lots of fun.

Love your ketubah, it's beautiful! And how exciting about the honeymoon. I can't wait for ours even though it's over a year away. We don't even know where we're going yet (have to narrow it down between Mexico, Costa Rica and Dominican Republic), but frankly I don't care as long as there is sun and blue water and pretty drinks with little umbrellas in 'em!

By the way and this is totally off topic, but for the race to the shower I am now 157.8 lbs, down 2.2 lbs since my last weigh in.

That is really pretty! I like your blog, btw. I am also losing weight. I am using calorie king and it is flying off. I am trying to get fit for my wedding! Congrats!

Your Ketubah is amazing. I really want one but being a bad Jew I don't know if it will happen. The Ketubah signing is one of my favorite parts of Jewish wedding, so intimate. Mazeltov.

That is beautiful. Truly. My husband and I eloped (I wore white - t-shirt!) so we didn't have anything traditional. Still, we have an incredibly strong marriage, so everything turned out great anyway.
